Emily began working for the University of Florida in April 2018 as a part of the BioCorp internship program based in Everglades National Park. Here she monitored sea turtle nesting activity on Cape Sable and worked to remove invasive lionfish from Florida Bay. She joined the team at the UF Tropical Aquaculture Laboratory in November 2018, working with non-native fish. She is currently involved in several projects at the lab, working on bio profiles and risk assessments for non-native fish in Florida and lower lethal temperature studies for select species. In her free time, Emily enjoys swimming, fishing and scuba diving.
